Holiday Blood Drive

Giving blood takes heart.

Utilizing Roundhouse’s ideal in-person event space, we created a holiday blood drive event. We leveraged our “Built by Heart” motto to express the literal and figurative need to possess heart to donate blood, and developed creative and collateral around this integral positioning. We explored a zine/DIY/lo-fi/agnostic visual system to create an array of deliverables, including a Willamette Week ad, an email promotion, posters, social media posts, t-shirts and thank you gifts. Through our efforts, we helped drive early sign ups, ultimately collected 28 units of blood - a 122% increase in our initial goal - and saved up to 84 lives!
