Building the best path to end-of-year giving

The Insight

Willamette Week’s Give!Guide highlights more than 200 of Portland’s most impactful nonprofits in one digital hub. The city-wide initiative focuses on potential donors aged 35 and under. Since 2018, Give!Guide has engaged Roundhouse to update and maintain the site to increase site speed and user accessibility.


In updating the Give!Guide to handle massive increases in traffic and donations, we provided design and development of the site, which included: re-platforming the CMS, migrating hosting services, transferring payment gateways, making security updates, optimizing SEO, performing QA testing, wireframing and making UX improvements.

The work we did to revamp the site, according to Willamette Week, “made giving ever so much easier—and faster—and added important features for participants.” In 2021 for instance, Give!Guide nonprofit recipients were supported like never before: 16,702 contributors gave $7,845,497 to 203 worthy local nonprofits – a 20% increase over the previous year!
