Last night we took advantage of the local cultural phenomenon that is First Thursday and used it as an opportunity to drink outside the office. And, of course, turn it into a subjective competition.
For those who have never had the opportunity to attend, First Thursday is a monthly event in Northwest Portland where galleries and street vendors showcase new art installations.
After a fulfilling happy hour, members of Account Service, Strategy and Production broke into four teams. Each team was given $125 and two hours to roam the Pearl.
The next morning a panel of judges were gathered to decide which team made the best use of their $125. The winning team was awarded a free PTO day.
The final decision was, well, wrong in this author's eyes. But a little controversy never hurt anyone.
